What Is The Prodigy Skill Centre?
The Skill Centre is all about individual player development.
Rather than simply playing games, sessions are built around giving players plenty of opportunities to touch the ball, practise techniques and apply what they have learned in realistic football situations.
Players will work on areas including:
🟡 Ball Mastery
Developing close control and comfort with the ball using both feet.
🟡 Dribbling
Improving changes of direction, speed, control and the ability to beat opponents.
🟡 Passing & Receiving
Developing technique, awareness and the ability to receive and play the ball effectively.
🟡 1v1 Ability
Learning how to attack and defend in individual situations.
🟡 Finishing
Improving striking technique, composure and decision-making around the goal.
🟡 First Touch
Developing a player’s ability to control the ball and prepare for their next action.
🟡 Football Intelligence
Helping players understand when, where and why to use the skills they have developed.
Develop The Player, Not Just The Skills
At Prodigy Football Academy, we don’t want players to simply perform skills in training.
We want them to understand how to use those skills in a game.
Our sessions combine technical practices with challenges, small-sided games and match situations, allowing players to take what they’ve learned and put it into practice.
Learn the skill → Practise the skill → Apply the skill → Build confidence
