Our player pathway provides a clear route from a child’s first football experience through to competitive grassroots football with Corringham Cosmos YFC, supporting players from ages 4 through to Under 17.

A Clear Development Journey

Our pathway is designed to ensure players progress at the right pace:

  • Prodigy Academy (Ages 4–6) – Fun, engaging sessions that build confidence, coordination and fundamental football skills.
  • Transition (Under 7) – A supported move into team training and small-sided matches when players are ready.
  • Foundation Phase (U7–U11) – Developing technical ability, teamwork, sportsmanship and a love for the game.
  • Development Phase (U12–U16) – Improving tactical understanding, decision-making, resilience and responsibility.
  • Youth Football (U17) – Preparing players for their next footballing journey while ensuring enjoyment remains at the heart of the game.

How to Register

Joining Prodigy Football Academy and Corringham Cosmos YFC is a simple process.

Step 1 – Register with PLAI

All players and parents are required to register through the PLAI app. This is our club management platform and is used for:

  • Registering your child with the club
  • Receiving important club and team updates
  • Viewing training sessions and fixtures
  • Managing attendance
  • Making secure payments for memberships and subscriptions

Once you’ve created your PLAI account and joined the appropriate team, you’ll receive all the information you need throughout the season in one convenient place.

 

 

Step 2 – Complete FA League Registration

To be eligible to play in league matches, every player must also register to the league through the club, by sending the following to the respective club representative:

  • Passport style photo of child.
  • Child full name.
  • Child DOB.
  • Parent/Guardians Email address
  • Parent/Guardians number.
  • Home address.

Once your child has been added to their team by the club, you’ll receive an email invitation from The FA asking you to complete the registration. This process usually takes just a few minutes and involves:

  • Confirming your child’s details
  • Verifying parent or guardian information
  • Accepting the relevant league and FA declarations

Once approved by the league, your child will be officially registered and eligible to play in competitive fixtures.
